MLD & Decongestive Physical Therapy  MLD II5 Days

The advanced training - Level II consists of 40 hrs (from 2011) of theory study and practice of MLD as a remedial treatment program. It includes:

*  Lymphoedema - physiology and stages
*  MLD practice, stroke techniques
*  Compression therapy,bandaging,products-theory & practice
*  Remedial exercise instructions and client management
*  Lifestyle program for lymphœdema conditions
*  Treatment routines for lymphœdema  conditions,incl.head&neck L’o, abdominal L’o and other L’os
*  Case studies and practical analysis
*  Post operative/trauma/sports injury treatment

The expected learning outcomes are:

Ability to demonstrate a lymphœdema treatment with supporting techniques.

To demonstrate and simulate a patient assessment.

To plan and undertake a treatment routine and discuss client management and maintenance.
